Fairbairn Golf Club was originally the Australian Defence Force Golf Club and is found at the RAAF Base. Once restricted to airforce personnel, it opened to the public about six years ago. The Clubhouse is open most days of the year. Hours of operation are generally 10 AM to 5 PM. Extensions can be granted with prior agreement with the Manager. 18 hole course, 5546 metres, par 71. Many of the fairways are lined with large mature pines. The 5th bunker is in the shape of Australia, including Tasmania.

Special rates and conditions can be negotiated for corporate/sporting/group and charity bookings.

Members require a current AGU/LGU handicap to play in formal Club competitions. The Club runs open competitions for men and women every Saturday, Wednesday and long weekend Mondays. A ladies competition is also run on all other Mondays.
