Meadow Springs Golf and Country Club

18 Hole, Top 100 golf course located in the region

Located on the outskirts of the seaside town of Mandurah, about 40 minutes south of Perth, Meadow Springs Golf and Country Club is one of Western Australia’s most highly-acclaimed courses, consistently ranked in the Top 10 Public Access Courses in Australia by Golf Australia Magazine. Built in an enchanting parkland setting within the suburb of the same name, the par 72, 6118-metre Robert Trent Jones Jnr creation meanders between tall, stately Tuart trees, creating the impression that the course has been there for centuries. Trent Jones Jnr has made full use of the scenic setting to create a superb course that provides a serious test for accomplished golfers but remains playable for higher handicappers. The towering Tuarts join forces with indigenous bushland to define the fairways and lend seclusion and serenity to each hole, while having a penal influence on errant play. Water is not a strong feature at Meadow Springs, with lakes brought into play on only four holes. Making up for the absence of water hazards are huge, exquisitely sculptured bunkers, which define many of the greens, thus placing a premium on accurate approach work. Whilst each one of the 18 holes is a gem, Meadow Springs’ signature hole is the 15th, a sweeping par five of 484 metres playing from elevated tees that provide a stunning vista of the course and its surrounds. Tuart trees on both sides demand accuracy all the way to the triangular green, which is laced with some subtle and deceptive breaks.
