Warburton Golf Club
The course is crossed in several places by narrow bubbling mountain streams. The original silo on the first is an icon of Warburton but the 443m par four 18th is surely its signature hole. The hole falls dramatically down the mountain to a flat area. The second shot must be played across a small dam and uphill to a small green. Many matches have been won and lost on this hole. The course is relatively short but golf is challenging with small greens and uneven lies. It is a picturesque course which offers panoramic views to ease the pain of a bad day at the office, or give a sense of satisfaction if mastered.
